What Is IIH-Behavioral?

IIH-Behavioral combines two things: a Functional Behavior Assessment and an Individualized Behavior Support Plan.

The Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is completed by a certified BCBA and looks at what’s behind a behavior, not just what it looks like. From that, we build an Individualized Behavior Support Plan (BSP), delivered in-home by trained Behavior Technicians and focused on building skills and independence over time.

The goal isn’t treatment forever — it’s transferring skills to your child and family, and connecting you to the right community supports along the way.

Who Qualifies:

Your child qualifies for IIH-Behavioral if they meet the following:

• Ages 0 through 20 (up to the day before their 21st birthday)

• Enrolled in IDD services and with a CSOC Care Management Organization (CMO)

• Showing behaviors at home, school, or in the community that a behavior support plan could help with

• New Jersey resident

• Parent/guardian consents to treatment

• The CMO Case Manager identifies a need for the service and determines that it would be beneficial to the youth.

How it Works

Referral

• Your CMO and Child Family Team identify the need for IIH-Behavioral and request River Home Care as your provider.

Assessment

• A certified BCBA completes a Functional Behavior Assessment.

Plan

• We build an individualized Behavior Support Plan around your child’s specific needs.

Support

• Trained Behavior Technicians deliver the plan face-to-face, in your home and community — evenings and weekends available.
